RFA Empire Salvage 1941-1946

Petroc. Photo 1964 as Papandrecht.
Built Rotterdam 1940. Commandeered and renamed Lothringen, converted to RAS tanker to support Bismarck and later, U boats. Captured June 1941 and served as RFA at Halifax and the Eastern Fleet. Returned to owners 1946 and reverted to Papandrecht. Scrapped Japan 1964. Account of capture. - And here.
